A trip to Joe's is extremely easy as we take care of everything from the moment you check in at the airport counter. However, you may still have some questions or concerns regarding your trip.

What do I need to bring

On my trip to Joe's?

Please purchase your tidal waters sport fishing license and Pacific Salmon Stamp online before coming to Joe's. You can access the site here. You must have your boating license to operate the boats at our lodge. You can find the application for a self test here.

Please remember to pack sunscreen, glasses/sunglasses, toiletries and medications. We do not have a store on site.

When do I need to be

at the airport?

All flights leave from SOUTH TERMINAL at 4pm PST and return at 8pm. Please check in 2 hours prior to departure. The South Terminal is a small airport located at 4440 CROWLEY CRESCENT, RICHMOND BC

Where can I stay the night

before or after departure?

If you need to book accommodations close to the airport please call SHERATON VANCOUVER AIRPORT HOTEL, VANCOUVER AIRPORT MARRIOTT or RIVER ROCK HOTEL. They offer a Joe's Salmon Lodge rate and shuttle to South Terminal.

How many fish can I bring back?

Salmon limits are 4 per day. Possession total of 8 of which no more than 2 per day or 4 per trip can be Chinook (King Salmon)

Halibut: To be announced

Ling Cod: 2 per day, 4 total possession

Rock Fish: 5 per day, 10 total possession

How do I get the fish home?

Your fish will be cleaned, vacuum-sealed, frozen and boxed. The weight will not exceed 50lbs per box. If you choose to have your fish canned, candied, or smoked we will set you up with St. Jean's Cannery.

Can I bring my own liquor?

We operate under a BC Liquor License which stipulates all alcohol consumed on our premises must be purchased from Joe's Salmon Lodge. Please do not bring outside liquor, bottles can be purchased from the lodge.

What documents do I need to enter Canada?

Whether flying or driving into Canada you will require a current passport originating from your home country. Depending on where you are coming from, it is possible you can be denied entry if your passport expires within 6 months from your Canadian arrival date.

What documents do I need to enter Canada?

Canada classifies a DUI or DWI as a felony. If you have had one in the past you could potentially be denied entry at the border. There are permits and a process around being allowed entry. You can find more information at this link.
